If you can't make it to Syl's fry but you are now drooling for good fried freshwater fish get some breaded Talapia fron Costco, (it's pre-fried,) bake it, make coleslaw, make your white bread sandwiches, take your shoes off, drink the kool aid and put "Alabamy bound" on the victrola. If you decide to have a cold beer with it don't mention it to Sylvia.

Hey, Syl this was a 'virtual' fish fry right? Don't knock the Talapia unless you've tried it. Us po' folk up here in the boondocks don't have the supply of fresh caught warm water bluegill, perch, bass, crappy, or catfish. I don't care for the taste of wild catfish. It usually tastes like mud. We will be having cold watermelon right? Vine ripe, deep red and juicy. I like to eat it standing up, a big wedge with the syrup dripping off my elbows and a bozo the clown red mouth. Damn those flies!

My favorite fish is small mouthed bass, deep fried with a little Cavendar's greek seasoning. Uhhhmmmmm mmm. Makes me wanna grab my pole and go.

Gregor, I specified yellow catfish because they don't spend as much time in the mud as the other kind.
