undercover, I'm glad you brought this up. Most people don't know how to relay this info properly, and in the end get shut down due to lack of research/correct terminology. The WBTS can't join the UN, only countries can do that. However they DID join the DPI which is the informational arm of the UN, a department that I call the "PR/publicity department".

I was hoping someone would respond to my comments. If not, I will offer my own.
Anyone who checks it out will find out that the U.N. is not a government or secular ruler. We are citizens of whatever country we reside It is an organization comprised of nations. None of these nations are willing to give up their individual sovereignties and be subservient to the U.N. The U.N. doesn't rule over them. It is the nations who belong to it that give it any influence it might have. And even with the backing of member nations it is often weak and ineffective. The U.N., in and of itself, is incapable of doing much. The U.N. is subservient to its member nations and is not a superior authority over its member nations.

After reading this topical thread, what is your take? How are you going to use this kind of information to help dubs still in the organisaiton to come out? Is not the UN represented in the Revealaton Red Book as the wildbeast, the disgusting thing that causes desolation by the WTS? If yes, how can then it be possible that part of WTS branches around the world are part of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), which is itself an arm of the United Nation? Is not this a major contradition and a gross inconsistancy? Are not the dubs still not wise to see this shocking actions? Please, what do you think?

I think the point is Scott most JWS do not know of this association and probably most don't know even of their association with the UN
at one time. There is always an act of secrecy that gets played out by the boys at the top, even if they act in a hypocritical way to their own doctrines.
Think of the GB members and their off shoot sales executives looking to see where they can create more slaves and buyers of their literature,
in doing so they create more substantial power and wealth, business is business as they say, even revolving around religion.

This raises a very troubling question. Is being god's sole organisation on earth a license to an exclusive right to act hypocritically at will in disregard to what the bible says? I wondering why its so hard for an ordinary JW many of who are high school graduates to critically analyze this obvious polical relationship of the Watchtower branches and the UN?

I have still give the link here, in 2003, the Watchtower was still a consumer of IAPSO, another part of the ONU.
Read the condition to be a consumer of IAPSO here: http://www.iapso.org/sc/iapsocondtions.asp:
"Services provided by IAPSO are limited t assisting the UN system, governments receiving aid, organizations cooperating with the UN system as donor government aid organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGO's)"
So in 2003, Watchtower was still a NGO "cooperating with the UN System".
Thank you for your latest updates. To me and probably many others on this post, this is a very serious information that adds to many list of hypocrisy on the part of the Watchtower. I am very upset and extremely irritated. In this age of super enlightment, why on earth cannot those still within the organisation read this and realise the obvious hypocrisy? What's wrong with this?
