Believe what you want in your own home- DONT COME TO WORK PREACHING IT! has anyone ever wondered why Revealed Religions are being discriminated against as a whole? Hmmn let me see- Most groups like to picket and rant and rave on the streets, some groups come knocking on your door to preach, others gain control of government bodies and try to convert the rest of the world and when thats not possible- wage a holy war (it's Ok to kill if it's for our cause mentality!).

Religion has caused more deaths than AIDS/CANCER! personally I'd rather hire an athiest too!- at least they are less likely to blow up my business or try to convert me into a cult!

Yeah, don't you hate it when groups go out on the street and try to convert others?

How the heck would anyone know what faith they were at work?

It is easy to tell if someone's workspace is personalized. For instance, I knew who was a practicing Hindu yoga instructor at my latest place of employment by the content in their cubicles. Another for instance, I knew right away who was gay or lesbian. Of course, if for whatever reason they were denied promotion based on this, liberals would be in an uproar. However, to deny the dweller of the cubicle with a Christian themed calendar a promotion? Well, that's OK with the Beks of the world.

    "Progressives." Aren't they cute?

"You probably remembered to turn the oven off. Relax and enjoy the rest of your day."

"You probably won't lose your job in the current recession. Relax and enjoy life."

"You probably won't miss your train. Relax and do the crossword."

The feeling I get from my friends on this thread is that it's ok to openly profess your belief and faith that there isn't a God and it's ok to openly profess your faith if you're a Muslim, but if you're getting a tough time for being a Christian then it's probably your own fault for somehow letting your faith be known.

Absolute nonesense and you know it. I just don't happen to believe the story as presented by you. You have an agenda, and 99% of the time if I dig deeper, I find that you have left out critical information. I disagree completely about knowing particulars about workmates. I have no idea who is what religion or sexual orientation at work. Only people that I have a friendship with, and have had deeper discussions with. I fully believe those in your OP are either embracing the thought of persecution (why is that word even in the survey, how odd and JW like), or have been preaching. Or here is a wacky thought, maybe they weren't promotion material, maybe it's all work related.

Oh give me the Atheist Bus Campaign any day over these a$$holes. Sucks getting stuck in traffic next to these jerks. What about the poor kids who are sitting in the back seat? Yea, they are really worried about the welfare of children. Hypocrites.

That is nasty beks, is this really on a truck? How can this be legal?

I am against discrimination but in the work place some beliefs should be kept to one self, atheist and Christians alike. For example If someone believes homosexuals should burn in hell and are very loud about it at work then after being warned they continue well for the rights of others this person should be fired. It all depends on the circumstances. Respect and freedom of religion and from religion are very important.

It's not on a truck, it's on a bunch of them all across the country. It's really quite despicable.

By the way, I don't like the comment on the bus either. The other slogans that group is using seem fine. But some people need to believe in god, and I don't think it's my business to change thier mind. This subject should be something people come to explore on their own when they feel the need. Either pro or con. It's not something that should be pushed by someone else.

71% of the Brits identify themselves as christians.

Maybe the Christians who feel themselves persecuted are not mainstream christians?

And in the USA people are afraid to admit to being atheist (including your president) because they know that they'd be treated badly. I'm happy to be a European!

BTW - in Britain it is illegal to discriminate based on religious belief. If these people are having an issue, they can address it in the courts.
