Back to the topic in hand A number of people inc sir82 mrmajestic, isaac, and the borg have expressed the opinion that destroying someone faith in Jehovah's witnesses (I refuse to say wtbs which is just apostate silliness) and Jehovah because invaribly it means both since in following Jehovah we are unique. that by destroying faith in these means they are free?

Free to do what? they are released into the shark infested waters of life with no hope not even of resurrection. Jesus was clear they had to be part of the body but which Body? Or are you guys saying you think as long as they are released from Jws they will get ressurrected by Jesus? and have eternal hope even when they no longer know which god is real?

I am not in Jehovah's witnesses for a social club, or to make friends or to fill my time, but for the CRAZY Reason of actually believing in Jehovah and his son Jesus and wanting more than 3 score years and ten for myself and for my children. freedom from money, a life driven by fear and need and survival.

A chance to serve God and to know God.

What freedom is there in destroying my faith so I have to rebuild it from scratch thats if I even can?

If you take away someones God how can you give yourself a congratulating slap on the back?

I have tried the grass on the other side and it is living for the moment, for pleasures for the struggle. You don't think about tomorrow because there is no tomorrow. It can bring a lot of fun but it had no spiritual depth, for some that might be enough but that never would be enough for me. I yearn for God and for what we as humans can truly acheive.

When Paul went from town to town he never once tried to rip peoples faith from them or say they are better off without any faith in god, he only thought to give them a chance to be in the new covenant arrangement so they could be saved by Jesus's sacrifice and receive the free gift of life.

By taking peoples belief in God off them, all you offer is death unless by some miracle they can scrabble around after you have left congratulating yourselves and find some hope in God again.

erm how have they put gods name on it? catholics said that for definite Jesus's return would be 1000 ad they swore it on their trinity God so I'm trying to see were you think this is different?

YOU are not the judge.

Jesus is the one that judges us all. He will decide who deserves a resurrection, who deserves eternal life.

OH and I find it risible that a witness would object to somebody of another faith trying to help them see theirs is not the only way, when JWs go door to door SPECIFICALLY to try and get people to give up their faith and become a JW.

Are you saying that any Christian faith that puts a date on Jesus's return then condemned as false prophet whichever time they did it since the prophecy was written?

dates are used by the WT is to establish supposed authority given by

God , seeing that they are a Johny come lately religion with no apostolic succession , a new world religion

like Mormons and Adventists . The greatest urgency is for the WT to establish it's authority and control over you !

Your right hamsterbait I stand corrected! I worded that wrong I should have said MAYBE but the assumption either way is wrong, Anti-witnesses cannot assume after ripping Jws faith away from them that they will still get ressurrected and thus absolve themselves.

What is your source for claiming that the Holy See said the end would come in 1000 and that the Pope spoke ex cathedra swearing on Almighty God as he understood Him to be??

Hamsterbait if you actually read this thread my point is I would admire them more if they were coming with a faith and preaching a faith then they are giving the person a new hope, It also makes there motives less about personal issues and more about God. But even Isaac who I know believes in God has admitted he is happy just to FREE them and so giving himself no responcibility to replace that faith with another.

My reply: Jehovah's Witnesses and the Jehovah of the Bible are not one of the same- they are far apart. By shifting one's faith off the JW leadership, aka GB, one is free to come to know the God of the Bible

My reply: Free to think and evaluate life objectively. Freedom from the JW version (which is a fairytale) of life, resurrection, new system, etc....Being released from WT mind control does not automatically mean one comes to Jesus...but they can then make that choice with a free mind. They can come to know the real God, the God of the Bible.

My reply: We are not out to snatch away people's faith in God. I personally direct toward Jesus. But whether one goes that path or not having a mind freed from a cult is in itself a positive.
