I went back to the meetings with the questions that would finally take me out of the 'truth'. The ‘Generation that will by no means pass away’ was one of the first things I enquired about (being that I was in when I was younger and went back when 21), the validity of their interpretation of Daniel, 1290 days, 1335 days, Cedar Point Ohio, the 2300 evenings and mornings, 1975, Beth-sarim.

I wasn’t a usual study by any means, but I knew about these things before I went back, but followed the advice given me to put them all on the back burner. How foolish I was…..

That has got to be the biggest load of Bull*hit Bollocks anyone has ever said to me,funny thing is, I can't remember exactly who said it, i know they were just spouting what they had read somewhere anyway.

I just thought at the time "Yea well ,I'm not going to blindly follow" I guess thats why I walked away in the end, "wrong attitude"

There were more than a few of them, but the worst of the worst bit of bad advice I was given was to throw in my apprenticeship after just 12 months.

This was in 1972, and every b#%*dy fool knew that it all was not going to matter after 1975!

My Dad tells me to behave (I was so obedient DUB at that time) before I visited a sister that likes me very much at that time, she was making advances toward me, I turned her down, I regretted it very much since she was very good looking.

Hey boyzone, I forgot about that one! I to was in a divided household and was told it was my responsibility to do it all, the parenting, the dicipling, the planning, the arrangements, meetings, fs, etc.........I did that for 13 years and got burnt out and had a melt down. It ruined my marriage and sent me to the dr. The brothers didn't care....

How bout this one to: if there's nothing bad going on in your life you must be doing something wrong because Satan only persecutes those who are doing Jehovah's will! What?!!...........wf

Don't go to College or University as Armageddon will be here 'soon' and you won't need it. That was about 30 years ago.

I definitely DID need it and I'm glad I ignored the advice.
