I understand Isaiah 43:10's phrase "there was no God formed" to mean "there was no Source of truth formed". Jehovah is the "Source of truth". Jesus is the "Word of truth". It's that simple. The two (Jehovah and Jesus) are that distinct.

"Jesus' role as secondary god is true, based on the established holy scriptures, and even pronouncements by the only true God himself."

So you admit that you do have a primary (true) and a secondary (true) God, right?

Yes, androb31, that appears to be a fair characterisation of what I'm saying here.

Of course, not forgetting the Spirit of Truth!

    John 15:26 (New International Version)

26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.

    John 16:13 (New International Version)

13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

1 John 4:6 (New International Version)

6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit [a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

1 John 5:6 (New International Version)

6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Now, that complete the three :) Glad we have arrived at the Trinity between us, three persons, one God. All the best, Stephen

I missed the God in your "secondary" question. The text of the original scriptures did not distinguish capital letters from other styles.

To be fullsome, let me try again, with this formulation:— I understand that the Bible teaches that there is one supreme God/god (Jehovah), one secondary God/god (Jesus), several classes of angelic Gods/gods (both good and evil), and several classes of human Gods/gods (both good and evil).

    Spike,

There is one God, there is one begotten Son of God, through whom all was created, there is the Holy Spirit of God the flows through Jesus.

While OT scripture like to throw the term "god" around a bit too much, probably a big reason why they were always in so much trouble ;), lets be clear that angels are inferior to God and Jesus and lest not forget that, according to Paul, "we will be judge of Angels".

They are not Gods and it would do us well to respect the NT in noth throwing the term "god" around so losely as they did in the OT.

According to my understanding, the Bible teaches that we have Jehovah (Supreme, Almighty God, person, Source of truth), Jesus Christ (Vice-Supreme, Mighty God, person, Word of truth), and holy spirit (impersonal force, Spirit of truth).

Where does your bible say that the Holy Spirit is an "impersonal force"? I cannot find that verse.

From what I read He seems very personable to me :)

    All the best,

    Stephen
