Restrangled`s post is on the money..I would travel to get a cup of coffee like that,if I did`nt know how to do it.........I do,so I can stay home..LOL!!

I am not addicted to coffee as much as my GF Toni...she cannot function without it.
She just left...i bought Ronoco at the grocery store..but whole bean in the dispensers not the packages...they service that often so it is fresh...i check for shiny beans...
i also grind my own beans... the key is grinding fine...the more surface area available for the water to hit, the stronger the brew. Grinders have different settings..perc, drip, expresso....the latter being the finest...so even if you use drip maker as I do currently, you can still grind as expresso.
and i use coffee maker cleaners to clean the pot every couple of weeks or so.... more often since toni and i started dating (lol)...

Lucky I have someone to make it for me.
For me, it just always tastes better when someone else makes it.
That's my secret to a good brew.

That reminded me ........my GF and I were just lying in bed Sunday morning......we both wanted coffee...she more addicted to caffeine than I....but neither of us motivated to get out of bed.... ....so...
we snapped our fingers and called out to the butler for coffee...no butler......apparently our butler had the day off.... oh wait...we dont have a butler.....guess that meant I had to get up and make coffee.....
Did I mention that my GF, though beautiful even first thing in the morning, is not very talkative or sociable until she has had at least 1 large cup of java before interacting with other humans, myself included? As long as I take care of her addictions, she loves me...good thing we have the same addictions lol

What a wonderful series of posts to come home to after nine hours doing landscape maintenance in 100 degree weather. Of course, I had a huge, piping container of joe at midday, compliments of the restaurant whose grounds I was refurbishing. I must have taken in a gallon of liquids today - mostly water.
All this is wonderful information; I shall peruse it more carefully once I decompress.
Why am I five pounds lighter now than this morning? I've gone from 190-plus pounds three weeks ago to 175 currently.

I like to use a flat-table-spoon-full per cup of water.
If you like it stronger use a slightly rounded table-spoon-full.
That seems to work for my drip CoffeMate.
I used to have a little espresso machine that you set on the
gas stove, it had several parts to it and it looked like an hour
glass shape of sorts, made out of thick aluminum I think.
It made excellent coffee. But it got lost in one of the moves
to another house, sigh! Someone someplace is probably
sipping good espresso as a result, oh well.
