Maybe it's because of the topic I just posted... Maybe the message has changed...

So they saw the Google alerts, wrote a new tract claiming prophecy fulfilled, stopped the presses at Bethel, printed the new one, shipped them out to the Kingdom Halls, handed them out to the pioneers, instructed them on how to not engage in conversation and sent them out and minimus girlfriend got one...and this all happened in a matter of hours?

Has your hair dye seeped into your brain and messed something up?

I saw a couple of JWs at the subway this morning doing "street work". They were standing and holding the magazines in a way I never saw before. They were holding them in such a way that the covers couldn't be seen, and weren't saying a word to anyone.

    Easy way to count time.

That was probably an unbaptized publisher, who got sold on the fact that this is god's work, while extreme cognitive dissonance is trying to tell her that she is really propagating bullshit from a religious publishing company.... Complete with having to turn in time reports each month, just like at her real job.

I've already related this one, and I've seen it repeated several times since I last related it.

I'm sitting on a bench outside a small mall and a car drives by with the windows down. This nice young guy in a suit holds up a Watchtower magazine and offers me one without ever getting out of the car. He gives no witness. Just asks me if I would like one.

So I said to him, "Boy, that's a new one! "Drive-by" pioneering!"

He is visibly startled and replied, "How did you know that?"

I smiled and said, "Why do you think I didn't take your magazine."

Off he went, scratching his head.

They are out in our area leaving the tract for the convention @ the end of this month Keep On The Watch ,How to survive the BIG A .

They came by here last Saturday .I watched them literally race down the street as fast as they could . The sister that stopped by here was someone I knew for over thirty years ...she acted like she didn't realize I lived here ,whatever, before she could say much I invited her in and asked about her kids and other family . I brought her in the living room and showed her pictures of all my kids and told her how great they are all doing and how much fun we had seeing them on vacation .

She was nice and all ,but excused herself because others were waiting in the car group . She stumbled over herself trying to explain they were leaving the invite for the convention I took it politely and said our goodbyes .......I really wonder WHAT goes through their heads once back with the group ? How does she rationalize how nice and kind I am to her with the gossip that no doubt goes around about how worldly and sinful we now are because we no longer attend . It intrigues my curiosity .
