Inactive, so far unable to fade. To many people know me. These past few months have received more visits from differnet one than the last 6 years combined. Must be the articles in the Watchtower. I just nod my head and smile.

Quit. Refused to ever talk with the elders. Still have family in so I am not totally free to do as I please.
Wonder sometimes if I will ever just say forget it and quit trying to hide what I really think. I do love my kids though and can't imagine life without them.
Affirms my belief that this is a cult, plain and simple.

Hi there LD, I don't get back here very often these days but this is an interesting poll so I will give it a go.
Hubby and I faded about 7yrs ago, wish I had kept a diary of dates. My kids do not post here but I thought I just throw them in for good measure. 1 DF, 2 faded. And 1 is an elder and also very close and understanding of our position. By his request we just don't talk religion and we all get along splendidly.
We still get a few 'encouragement calls' and have a few friends that have 'come out' to us that they doubt it all but hang on because of the social culture.

I stopped going to the meetings in 83, After I realized armegedon in 75 was not all it was cracked
up to be.
The witnesses, friends still talk to me. I get invited to family get togethers weddings,
aniversaries, family visiting florida.
But I havent been to a meeting since 83. And I told family members never to talk to me as
a JW again.
So far so good.
My JW family has seen enough JW bullshxt and that they have decided to play the game to
their advantage, it seems they are hedging their bets.
They want to keep their large Italian family intact and at the same time keep their foot
in the door to a possible new order in never never land.
