This site was born 9 years ago. It was started by a guy called Simon Green from England, who has since moved to Canada with his family. If you click on his avatar you can read all his old posts and find out his story.
here's the very first post
It's a discussion forum for anyone, JW, ex-JW, non-JW. A place to discuss anything. Mainly composed of ex-JW's; people who have left, who are in the process of leaving (faders), unbelieving mates, JW defenders (apologists), people who have left similar cults to the JWs - the whole range is here and makes for lively discussions. So, it's not technically an 'apostate' site although die-hard JWs will argue that it is. All apostate means anyway is a person that has left their religion.
Occasionally people come on here to seek attention and stir things up - they are known as trolls, watch out for them. When things get too heated the moderators step in and may decide to lock a threads but most of the time people are quite civil. Still, it's an emotional place.
And I think you make a great point about non religion being the new religion, it seems like that to me, at least in the western world.
It's a great feeling to be free of religion and not feel guilty or empty.
