Thanks Baba Yaga for the info on echinacea----I will definitely pass that on to my sister.

My other sister and me are going up there tomorrow just so we can spend some time with our sister....I don't think we'll be able to get in to see him but it might help him knowing that we're there.

His other sister in law (his brothers' wife) has been a total useless bitch about the whole thing.....she only called once back in January, but hasn't bother to call my sister at all since then. She's too busy pioneering and trying to become socially prominent in the congregation to worry about what happens to her B-I-L. I guess it shouldn't surprise me.........

I am confused, though, doesn't leukemia mean the white blood cells are elevated? But the new diagnosis is his were depleted... please let me know about that because the concern in taking echinacea with leukemia is the increase in white blood cells.
