Recognising authorities and become affiliated are two different things; don't the Governing Body trust the Jehovah will set all matters straight in his own time?

Surely recognising the need to take care of one's physical health through regular exercise at a gym, such as at the YMCA, is in keeping with Jehovah's will.

looks like it is dealing with authority issues to me and thats just basic search.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe is the primary instrument for early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management, ...

The Organization deals with three dimensions of security - the politico-military, the economic and environmental, and the human dimension. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities. All 56 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis.

    thank you nelly

Your info shows clearly this is an authority issue and one they would have to deal with on human rights alone or when they are under ban or not classed as a religion (france atm) or persuing their rights as a religion to preach the massage of the bible (some russian states atm).

Governments are the authorities that we all need to deal with. OSCE does not fall into that category.

    Hi password

OSCE is a governent run org in the hands of the UN which itself is made up of the worlds governments, dealing with governmental issues and situations to keep connection and agreements between them on human rights and security issues. It has authority and power by virtue of being part of governments. It is completely seen to be an authority in its functions IMO.

so basically the borg stopped 'waiting on jehovah' and is depending more and more on earthly 'worldly' organisations that politically influence governments to bring about peace and security for all mankind?

    No nelly

They are simply doing the same as Paul did when he appealed to Rome the equivalent of the UN of his day biblically. To help to do the preaching work and be recognised so people can be practising Jehovah's witnesses freely.

We have absolutely no political aspirations like mormons or catholics and to the point of not voting or going into wars. We only ask that we can preach the bible God's message and our people can be witnesses in every country and will deal with Authorities as Paul himself did to this end.

If the witnesses are guilty here then Paul was also guilty for appealing to Rome.

The biblical precedent is there. We are told to submit and deal with authorities till Jesus's return but not see them as the answer which only comes from Jehovah through his son Jesus.

    Eet ees simples folks!

The Watchtower is only taking "fractions of the U.N." not "whole U.N."!

Of course you cannot take the four main components of the U.N. but anything that is only a fraction of the above four main components is for the individual to decide.

For example, a Christian may ask himself:- "How much of the lifeblood of the UN am I taking in to my veins - is it a whole component like Malawi political cards or is it simply a Mexican bribe er.... way of easing the passage of official sanction?"
