that's why we have plenty of snitches too, this will get them browny points to get a promotion!

also I have a friend in a neighboring congo, everytime his field service hours for the month fall below national average, he gets a phone call from the service overseer. that overseer never looks at the quality of his ministry, just the hours

    Good post flipper!

Yes, the Pharisees had the same M.O. Jesus told them it was not about climbing the latter at all, quite the reverse Matthew 23:12

Yes, it is all about the relationship with "God's organisation" not with God Himself, His Son or their Spirit. JWs have zero understanding regarding a verse like this

    John 14:23 (New International Version)

23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit who comes to live inside the believer John 14:15-20 How much closer a relationship with God could one have? All the best, Stephen

Reaching out was not for me--because, first Jehovah had to start showing me that He valued what I was already doing before I was willing to move onto the next step. Otherwise, He would not have any incentive to show appreciation at all--and I would soon be single-handedly plunging the whole world into the Second Dark Ages forever, with zero appreciation.

SATANUS- Wow. That's interesting they were so open about expressing their emotions in a church about a man's adultery ! They were all mourning it together. So different from witnessville for sure.

SSN587- Exactly. Witnesses always called everything a " privilege " when we gave out free labor. Whether it was cleaning toilets, being a parking attendant, mopping floors. Didn't get paid ! But it was a " privilege ". Ridiculous. The way they see things- even wiping a GB members a$$ would have been a " privilege". Sick and twisted.

DESIGNS- Really ? They told you to bump up your hours to get appointed elder - then after you can back off onc appointed ? I know it shouldn't surprise me - I've seen and heard everything else ! Shows you how superficial the leaders of the organization are.

DACHEECH- I agree the ratfinks and snitches earn brownie points. It's amazing they are so concerned with quantity- not quality. Speaks volumes about what makes this organization roll.

CHALAM- Yeah, the WT society and Jehovah's Witnesses are so Phariseeical they can't even see or think straight. They have deceived their members to believe that the organization and the alleged " faithful and discreet slave " IS GOD ! To them it's all the same.

WT WIZARD- I hear you WT - none of us ever got the appreciation we deserved or earned. If God was trying to show it to us through the elders, allegedly, He was doing a piss poor job of it

Flipper, again a great topic. I think the begininnig of the end for us was when my husband was asked to be an elder. When he said he wanted to raise his family, help people in the capacity he was in, they looked at him like he was nuts. One of the elders was his brother, all he held dear was being an elder. When that wasn't the all important to him (my husband) the others didn't get it. Christain qualities and JW "reaching out" have nothing to do with eachother.

NO MORE KOOL AID- Thanks. It is amazing how other elders will look at people like your husband or myself who did not WANT the position of elder because of caring for our other responsibilities and you are right- they treat us like WE are crazy ! They just can't imagine anything more important than having power over their brothers and sisters lives ! Hilarious and sad all at the same time

Good thread Flipper. As I read the posts, I had a ah-ha moment. The WTS is a club and you aren't really a member until you've put on the show for the elders then they start giving you things to do like holding mic's, counting mags, putting at least 10 hours in the field circus. For girls and women it was being on the school, cleaning bathrooms in the KH and putting as many hours as possible in the field circus.

It's slave training, "be a good slave and we'll give you more to do then you'll be more important than the other slaves.

LDRNOMO- Very true what you say. The WT society is really just a business corporation or organization where everyone rises to their own level of incompetency. I,E. The Peter Principle. If a person climbs the " privilege " or " responsibility " ladder then they are thought to be " holier " or " better " " more righteous " than brother " sits in the corner ". It's really quite stupid
