How Are JW's Sins Forgiven?

DD, that's the tragedy of your belief system, you and Stephen and a few others that view God as someone who would do such a thing.

You must mean like a God who condemns the guilty.

A bigger "tragedy" is to NOT warn them of the Wrath of God. A wrath so great that it required Christ's death on the cross as payment.

I'm not sure what god you love, but it's not the God of the bible. It's probably the one that got you thrown in jail. Perhaps that's why you hate justice.

The only time for sure when sins are forgiven is when one human forgives another human.

I don't think a real God worries about "sin", let alone bothers to forgive them. A real God takes such things in stride, just like a real human parent does.

DD, you sucked on a tit filled with hateful kool aid, but its good for the jws in transition to really see what you guys are all about and the traps that exist with religious persons of your persuasion.

Is that anything like the prison rations, that have you so opposed to justice? Your fear of hell is note worthy! There is a way out for you.

I find it interesting how much you have in common with the young C. T. Russell. His view of hell is the very foundation of the WatchTower.

    From: http://www.answers.com/topic/charles-t-russell

Charles Taze Russell was born on Feb. 16, 1852, in Pittsburgh. His parents awed him at an early age with grim tales of hellfire and damnation. While helping his father build the family's chain of clothing stores, Russell began to question the validity of including the concept of eternal damnation in Christian dogma. Bible study, fascination with the Millerite, or Adventist, movement, and his own inability to reconcile hell with the Christian concept of mercy caused him to develop a personal theology which he began to teach others.

I have to wonder why you hang on so tightly to this part of the cult you were in. Could it be your experience? Perhaps you could tell us about this god you love so much who's love can be demanded, by those who hate him.

A lot of individuals and religions associated with Christianity have jettisoned the notion of Hell fire or God torturing people. Read the article by jwfacts, even many Protestant Churches have come to the realization that there were to many ethical and moral problems with that doctrine to continue to teach it. Russell was not the first to realize John Calvin and the other proponents of Hell were nuts.

Think outside of the Sunday school box you were raised in, you'll get there, and remember to be kind and do good everyday.

Was Jesus a nut when He taught about hell?

You poor guy. Hyperbole, metaphor, symbolism kind of escape the Fundamentalist world.

You, Jonathan, and Stephen need to post signs above the Churches you attend.
