Question for Evangelicals: Are JWs Going to Hell?

    A religious group is not required. What is required is a relationship with Jesus Christ.

    So every person who is truly seeking God outside of Christianity or who isn't in a "relationship with Jesus Christ" is condemned to hell?

    Yeah one thing that I did not mention earlier is the importance of knowing the real Jesus. That is the Jesus of the Bible. Is this the same Jesus of the Watchtower?

    Of course that's what the Bible says, but who says the Bible is "the one true book" other than the Biblical writers? All other traditions and religious books are meaningless? They are worthless in the eyes of God? Those people who love God but do not orientate themselves to Jesus are condemned to hell?

    I can only answer from the Bible since my beliefs are based on it. I believe in Jesus Christ teachings and the teachings of the Holy Bible for the same reasons why Mohandas Ghandi believes in Hinduism, "...it entirely satisfies my soul, fills my whole being...." At the same time, I believe its teachings to be entirely true and entirely unerring, this is especially true concerning Christ's teachings.

    Apparently you know what the Bible teaches so for me to answer your questions would require me to ultimately use circular reasoning and insert the question begging fallacy into the discussion. God authored the Bible because the Bible says so, since the Bible says so, God authored the Bible. Christ teaches that we must come to Him alone for salvation because the Bible says so. And so on.... If you do not believe in the Bible, then it does not matter to you right? But I am curious as to how you came to believe that God exists and who do you think he is or do you think he is a she?

    Without some religious reference, how can anyone know who God really is? Is it Yahweh (Jehovah), Allah, Vishnu, or maybe God is liken to what the Wiccans teach and that he or she can be whatever you want (because it is all the Lord and the Lady anyhow). As I've seen it stated somewhere else, for all we know the Thuggie cult is the true religion and we're all infidels for not believing in Kali.

    Personally, I believe in the Bible and its teachings that is where my faith is. I know many people do not agree with my faith but how can those who disagree be sure that they are right about their faith? What if I am right? What does the Bible teach? (Question begging and appeal to fear fallacies.) As a Christian, my requirement is to be a witness for Jesus Christ to others and know and practice what He teaches and what the Bible teaches, but no one is required to accept it. For those who do not accept it, I move on and continue to pray for them.

May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

    Matthew 18:20 -- "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

    Ephesians 3:17 -- "so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,"

    Psalms 110:1 -- "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."

    Mark 16:19 -- "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God."

    So let's see, He lives in the hearts of His followers, He's sitting at the right hand of God in Heaven, He is among believers where they gather together. There is more, I am sure but he does not live in a mag or book but the Bible does tell us about Him.

    By the WT's own admission, Christ is NOT the mediator for JWs and they will face judgement without Him or His sacrifice.

    There is one Mediator and one Saviour.

    Romans 10:9 (New International Version)

    9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

    JWs do not believe Jesus is Lord because they believe that Acts 2:21 (and Romans 10:13) should read "Jehovah" and they call on that name. So what could they be saved from? They do not believe in that either. All the best, Stephen

    The ones that are in it for the truth, but were scammed in, should get a break. Especially if they really believed it was the truth, and dared not look at outside sources. This also goes for those who were born in and could not leave because of family issues, or those who were forced back into the cancer after having attempted to leave. Those people should be worked with to return to good graces, regardless of religious belief (to become value creators, attain heaven, or return as a higher being than they were before).

    However, those who are in it for the power and seek to control others (or to molest children and get away with it, silencing their victims), they deserve nothing but ostracism. These need to die heavy of heart, realizing that they wasted their whole lives and accomplished nothing. And then, depending on your beliefs, they deserve the worst--zero resurrection from either supernatural or science sources, hell, or to return as a fly to be eaten by one of my spiders.

    Or, as one of their victims--if they were pedophiles molesting children and using the religion to silence them.
