AS DD dated, salvation is based on individual faith and the love shown by the individual in actions and words.
We are all judged indivduallyfor what we do as indivudsuals, following orders is not an excuse.
Just being part of an organization that is in the dark doesn't mean you are going to "hell" just like being part of one in the light means you are saved.

I'm wondering if you meant to ask, according to our beliefs, would a true Christian even attend a KH?
That's a good question, too, but I was specifically interested in how you feel about JWs in general. I realize that ex-JWs do not consider WT to be an acceptable vehicle for their faith.
Thanks, everyone for your responses.

I am pretty sure that quite a few of them will go straight to the pits of hell, and there is one in particular that needs to be there now! :)

Deputy -- I wasn't trying to be intentionally misleading.
I'm sure that wasn't your intention.
If I'm understanding you correctly, you've indicated that "membership" in the JW (or any church) is not necessarily a determining factor.
Let me put it this way "membership" is not a factor at all.
Or, another way of putting it would be, "Some JWs are going to Hell and others are not." Is that correct?
I can't give you a percentage if that's what you're asking for. But, I will say this: anyone who knows the Jesus that I know, will not willingly stay in the WT Org. very long, except to try to bring out loved ones. All of mankind is already going to hell. God is the determining factor, not a church, an organization, or yourself. So who do you think you should ask for mercy from? Faith in Christ's works on your behalf, is the only way to recieve God's favor.
Rom 9:16
So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.

Sorry .... I can't help myself..... YES MANY JWs ARE GOING TO HELL!..... well sheol or hades.... I am not referring to gehenna
Regarding the nice snippet Blondie posted for forum consumption: Here are the scriptures quoted...for further discussion:
Hebrews 10:26,27 ...... 26 For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but [there is] a certain fearful expectation of judgment and [there is] a fiery jealousy that is going to consume those in opposition.
Matt 23:33......... 33 “Serpents, offspring of vipers, how are YOU to flee from the judgment of Ge·hen′na?
The first thing that jumps out at me is that Jesus in Matt is talking to men who act as religious leaders to the community (scribes and Pharisees) The second is the sheer exclusion that Hebrews makes regarding most Xians on the planet.....no one is perfect and we all fall victim to sinful tendencies willfully from time to time, later to seek forgiveness in full shame.

I believe that if someone is truly seeking God they will find him no matter where they live or what religious group they're in
Does that include people who are "truly seeking God" through a religion other than Christianity, or through no religious group at all?

A religious group is not required. What is required is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
