Perhaps we should remember that the proponents of this (most of them) want more to heavily tax various foods than to actually ban them.
Note that cigarettes are demonstrably more dangerous than french fries, but they did not get banned, only regulated and taxed.
Tax them!
Unhealthy / Fat / Diabetes Tax. Call it what you want.
Let the law makers figure out how to spend redistribute it.
JWoods, are you telling me this idea is actually being serously discussed?
Those Asian people also drink a lot of tea - predominantly black.

Yes, (I mean heavily taxing such things as soda or sugar fruit drinks, fast foods). It has come up within the white house as one solution to medical costs. I do not doubt that there are a few on the fringe who would actually ban certain foods. They made a first step toward it by attempting to ban soda from schools. The fast food and carbonated drink industry has seen fit to start a defensive TV ad campaign against the idea, so they are taking it seriously.
There is no such thing as unhealthy food - it is lack of moderation which is the problem!
Even water is unhealthy if you drink too much of it...

Green tea is the best for fighting cancer.
Black tea is best for diabetes and depression.

Black is the color good food turns to after it's burned.
