let's ban the s.o.b. do-gooders who want to force you to live longer while taking away the very things that make life worth living.

No.
By the way, you guys should check out my last thread. I think that dark pigmentation combined with our northern latitude could be behind so many of the health problems in African Americans (and in general). We all need the Sun to live. Vitamin D.

Yeah, and Jews too.

Out at Last!
I saw on the news last week that most states have removed soda machines and candy vending machines from schools, trying to force students to eat better food. I hope that they are not promoting cafeteria food as"good food."

Out at Last, I hope the schools will have Vending Machines of all kinds of Water Bottles, it is better than drinking soda pops.

anned? Yeah, why should individuals be responsible for their own well being. Goverment control is the only way!!!
------------
Sadly the individual has only limited control over their own well being anyway - corporations/government control more of a persons life and food source than they do. GM foods, chlorine and fluoride in water systems, vaccinations, asbestos, pesticides, factory farming, HFC, aspartame...many people believe those sort of things are extremely harmful to the health of people and yet, they cannot avoid them easily if at all. Others believe that all those things don't matter to the overall health of a person and then feel allowance to slam someone who wants to eat a plateful of greasy fries, while ignoring the fact that the same person would choose to refrain from fluoride being forced into their bodies if they could. There is no easy answer - I don't think a ban is necessary - education in primary schools would be a start...sammieswife.

Yeah, and Jews too.
Yeah, and red haired, law students who fail their classes because they spend too much time jacking around/off to study and then have to pay off their enormous student loans by flipping burgers or working in retail; and who, when in their 50's, end up working for Jews.

Actually, I think junk foods should be forced to compete with wholesome foods on the same market. Anyone that can add the vitamins and other nutrients, or leave them in the foods in the first place, should be able to make truthful claims about what their foods can do that the crap can't (without that "This statement hasn't been evaluated by the FDA" crap). Those who make bogus claims will find their businesses going down the toilet, as will those who continue adding monosodium glutamate in hidden forms or putting aspartame and Neotame in your food without disclosing it on the label.
Just imagine a nice cheeseburger. The burger is real meat, from truly organic cows raised in humane conditions and without any hormones. It comes with real organic cheese without additives, and all the ingredients are premium quality organic products. The fries are premium quality organic potatoes fried in virgin coconut oil (which is reasonably fresh, not rancid). Your drink contains real fruit juice (no high fructose corn syrup), and dessert is also organic product with most or all the nutrition left in. Not only will it be better for you nutritionally, but it is going to taste a lot better than that fast, good-tasting poison that passes as "food(??)". And the fast, good-tasting poison places will either have to improve their offerings or they will go belly up.
This also goes for candy and salty foods. If candy is made with unrefined sugar and real ingredients, it will be nutritionally superior to the same candy from high fructose corn syrup, dextrose, maltose, corn-based citric acid, aspartame and Neotame, and (gasp) hydrolyzed milk proteins (check your Almond Joy--it has hydrolyzed milk proteins). And, aside ruining your brain, I see no reason in the world why every single cheesy cracker needs to contain monosodium glutamate, autolyzed yeast, yeast extract, and/or hydrolyzed protein (and every single brand of flavored potato chip). Wouldn't just one company have the guts to risk going to jail and being harassed by your FDA for making and marketing a flavored potato chip or cheese cracker without monosodium glutamate in one of its many forms?
