I am so sorry that the experience of seeing the video was so disturbing to you. I showed videos in my classroom for the same reason your professor did. They have impact. Unfortunately, in your case they had too much impact. I remember earlier you read in great detail about Milgram's experiments. It is one thing to read about it. It is another thing to see it. Again, I am sorry that it caused you pain.
I don't think you will face anything on tape as painful as this, so I would encourage you to take more psychology classes.
The only one I know of, is depicted in the movie, Conspiracy Theory, with Mel Gibson, where they talked about MK-Ultra, a true story, and a horrific one. I doubt that your prof will show that one.
Now, if you take a class in Abnormal Psych., you might also see some footage that is hard to take. It is, however, a slice of reality.
