That's exactly how my mother and g'mother used to talk.
*wiping away tears of nostalgia*

Hehehehehehe! Yes, Miss Silvia, I knew I'd get to ya (peace to you, m'dear!). I was born in Virginia, and often when to the general store with my grandmother. Also, my stepgrandfather owned a little general store in Mullins (Nichols) South Carolina that turned into a "juke" joint at night. My siblings and I spent many a summer picking watermelon, cucumbers, squash... and THE worst thing of all... TOBACCO!! Omigawd - I HATED that part: the leaves have very fine fibers, which along with the juice get into your skin, so you break out and ITCH to high heaven!! But, I LOVED going "down South" every summer! We had such a BLAST (you know, other than the whole pickin' tobacco thing!)
I am SO glad, then, to have taken you for a little walk down memory lane, girl! Weren't those the DAYS??!! Love 'em and miss 'em!
And just so you know, dear Johnnie Doe... because many folks DON'T... "we" learned our "English"... from the workers of our "owners" who didn't know it properly themselves. If they had spoken properly... they would have taught us... properly. They didn't, though (in fact, some of them spoke even worse) and so we learned "English" from the wrong folks. Think "Nell" (movie starring Jodie Foster and Liam Neeson).
I bid you both peace!

I don't think the general store stocks any such thing?
What exactly is it?

Now that I've dried my tears, I can laugh with you!
Yes, those were the days.
I heard Stevie Wonder's song about wishing those days could return just the other day.
I turned up my car radio and let it blast!
Tee hee hee.
