For all those that are freaking that Greenland's ice sheet will melt and kill us all:
Here is the temperature data from Greenland's ice core. Scary stuff. It's a hockey stick. Scary stuff! Run for the hills!
However, this is only about 600 years or so. Let's get some more altitude and see what it looks like for the last 1200 years.
Phew! Not so bad! The medieval warm period was a lot hotter there! It must be an anomaly, right? No wonder the Vikings called it Greenland.
But it gets better! Lets get a bit more altitude and see what Greenland ice cores reveal about temperatures over the last 5000 years.
Wowsers! The MWP is actually not an anomaly! Greenland was a LOT warmer than now! And the ice sheet held! But let's get a bit more history, shall we?
Sheesh, the current warming is just a blip on the radar screen! And it gets better:
ZOMG!!!! The sky is falling!!!
Not.

Climate Change The New Catalyst For Globalists/Communist Utopia
The idea of essentially taxing hardworking citizens of the democracies to fill the treasuries of Third World kleptocracies went nowhere, thanks mainly to Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher (and the debt crisis of the early ’80s). They put a stake through the enterprise.
But such dreams never die. The raid on the Western treasuries is on again, but today with a new rationale to fit current ideological fashion. With socialism dead, the gigantic heist is now proposed as a sacred service of the newest religion: environmentalism…
Socialism having failed so spectacularly, the left was adrift until it struck upon a brilliant gambit: metamorphosis from red to green. The cultural elites went straight from the memorial service for socialism to the altar of the environment. The objective is the same: highly centralized power given to the best and the brightest, the new class of experts, managers and technocrats. This time, however, the alleged justification is not abolishing oppression and inequality but saving the planet.

you should publish your work in Science or Nature for peer review BTS - your commentary on those graphs is most excellent.

Somehow, I don't think the East Anglia people would approve of such peer review. Maybe Besty should email them with a little clandestine warning of the danger of BTS?
While you are at it, be sure to tell them about Al Gore saying that the newest of those emails is 10 years old...

Thanks, Besty, but the charts really drive the point home, don't they? Still, the ClimateGate scandal has exposed the soft underbelly of scientific fraud, hence the desperate responses:
Journalist question about ClimateGate gets armed response.
Inconvenient questions.
Physics Group Splinters Over Global Warming Review. “As the science scandal known as ClimateGate grows, the largest U.S. physicists’ association is finding itself roiled by internal dissent and allegations of conflict of interest over a forthcoming review of its position statement on man-made global warming.”
I guess some physicists have walked off of the plantation. They must subscribe to the stupid idea that in science, it is not consensus that matters (as if what a group of people think is true makes it so), but actual PROOF.

2000–2009, THE WARMEST DECADE
It isn't the warmest decade. It may be the warmest decade in 150 years, which is the blink of an eye. The rest of that article reads like the CIA document from the 1970's. This is alarmism worthy of a Watchtower magazine. "The end is near."
2000–2009, THE WARMEST DECADE
The global temperature data is crap.
There is no way to verify the veracity of that statement with the "official" data, which is opaque, and manipulated.
We've had station dropout, nearly all rural. The urban stations show a heat rise, well of course. Asphalt and concrete. Compare the station data in 1978 with the scarcity of 2008
