    Inkie,

My intent was to show you that the words you speak regarding your description of the true God is false.

I am pointing out what the Old Testament says. If you are saying that the Old Testament is false, then that is a different issue. According to what the Old Testament says Jehovah is a scumbag.

Question: Ifone can trust the NT, which states that the OT is riddled with falsehoods, why would you "believe" the OT?

How do I know I can trust the NT? What proof is there?

Where does the NT claim that the OT is riddled with falsehoods?

Nevertheless, one cannot believe entirely the OT or the NT.

I never said I believe either of them. I was pointing out what the OT says about Jehovah. Since the OT is the primary source of information on Jehovah, according to the OT Jehovah is what I said he is.

Once can, however, believe the Christ when he speaks to you.

Well, if he wants to come down here and set me straight I'm guessing he has my number and he can call and set up an appoitnment. I'm 52 and Jesus has not spoken to me yet. I'm getting up there in years so if he is going to come and set me straight he needs to get on with it.

It's worth considering that The God, the one who was Jesus' Father and whom he prayed to, was not the same god the Jews had been worshipping all along.

OTWT: "So there isn't really a god like the one in the Bible. "

can you clarify that? Are you saying there is only one god in the bible?

I am sorry. There isn't a god like any of the ones in the Bible, but I was refering to the God of the Hebrews that morphed into Jehovah from YHWH. I am not sure how you want to divide up Elohim and YHWH or whoever was talking to whomever when they said "Let us make man in our image."

What does this have to do with the trhead topic? I'm talking about who and what the creature known as Jehovah is. What Jesus did or didn't say so many years later has nothing to do with that.

    inkie,

I agree. The God these ancients wrote of was really a reflection of their own society.

Humans wrote the Scriptures, not God.

    Hi Robdar.
Thanks for popping in. You may be just the person to answer these questions, since you have recently been confirmed in Jewishness.
Do you know---who was the God Abraham served?
Did this god have a name and what was it?
    Was Abraham Jewish?
What's the difference between a Jew, a Hebrew, and an Israelite?
Why does the Pope switch out his fish hat for a Yarmulke?
    Thank you.

Girl, why don't you tell us the answers? Your paranoid musings are always so much more interesting than anything I could spin. Besides, I've tried to answer you before only to be ignored.

Again, for somebody who thinks religion is worthless and evil, you sure do obsess over it. I'm not surprised though, your obsession with evil runs the gamut. I can't wait to read another one of your enlightening articles about the illuminati. I just cant wait.

I can't help but notice that there are similarities between Jehovah and Zeus. Has this similarity been investigated on JWD/JWN?

You spoke well; I believe "the same god the Jews had been worshipping all along" was right in the midst of them - in the flesh.

    AGuest also answered beautifully.
