It's a classic sci-fi plot: You have a Time machine and a snipers rifle. Do you go back in time and kill Hitler?
I can justify Hitler but only because we now can see how central he was to events in Europe. How about Stalin? Well, maybe since you might thereby elevate a different murderous thug who was incompetent or too extreme to continue Communism. Maybe some lives get saved.
Let's consider some others: if you disagree with Obama and company, I say you're wasting your time and creating a martyr. JFK was a reckless failure as President and getting killed got him a sort of sainthood he never deserved.
How about the Governing Body? Nope, what difference would it make? There is no strongly moral group of men waiting in the wings - they're all part of a fraud and eagerly support it. You could nuke Wallkill and I can guarantee that in six months there would be a Watchtower "explaining " the whole thing and gathering sympathy from zombie Witlesses who then "know" the End is Now "really" soon.
I don't agree with anti-abortion types but I can see that a potential strategy of murdering MD providers can work for them. They don't need a Supreme Court ruling to win, just terrorism at the effective level, sad to say.
Moral: Changing the World is harder than you think. I gotta read Asimov's Foundation someday and think about "psychohistory".
