I found this site after cantleave kept quoting from it. Eventually he had to courage to introduce me to the evil apostates and show me where he was getting his info from. I also discovered that according to the policy files I've been a closet apostate for years since my personal views have often conflicted with official doctrine. I just had the common sense to keep my thoughts to myself.
How Did You Discover JWD/JWN ?

Wouldn't it be less interesting if we didn't find this place? This place is never boring!

i was a moderator on a completely unrelated site
(adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse) and
part of my responsibilities was to check links
posted in the reference section of the board to
make sure they didnt lead to triggering material
or werent commercial sites (esp the self-help type)someone had posted a link to an article about
manipulative people and i followed a hyperlink
to a link to a link to a link to rickross.com to JWD....
i was, unbeknownst to me, in an advanced fade
due to significantly serious family issues, and had
spent MONTHS in agonized prayer and earnest
entreaty for a revelation from god as to what to do....
i was consumed with guilt for being a slacker....
lo and behold, i started reading and the next thing i knew,
the scales fell away from my eyes and i saw clearly that that
which had been so ardently declared THE TRUTH TM was the
furthest thing from it!!!i joined JWD that very day and posted the next....

By accident.
I was trying to get to the WT's main site and googled "Jehovahs witness" out of laziness.
The link below was JWD and in my hurry to get onto wt.org I was 'over-clicking' my mouse which apparently had slipped to the link below.....
I had managed to click my way into a thread and came face to face for a few nano-seconds with a comment by Terry.
I wasn't alone so quickly got out and onto wt.org.........but Terry's comment peaked my interest and I came back when I was alone.......started posting shortly thereafter.....all in all in about a 12 hour period.
........I am eternally grateful to Simon, Angharad for this site and Terry for his thought-stirring comments.........

Internet browsing in a Barnes & Noble.
I googled Jehovahs Witnesses before. At first, very innocent. (in my early 20's) After I got back from Cameroon, I did it on purpose to see what I could learn, if what I saw matched with what others saw.
It did. In 2006, I stopped being afraid. I spent a lot of time on Ronnie's board on Yuku at first (he isn't closing it, thank goodness) but for whatever reason, I have spent more time over here this year.
I plan on sticking to JW related topics from now on..... :)

May you all have peace!
After I was DF'd from H20 (yep, literally, for saying the same things I do here: "Go AWAY from this place, AGuest/LifesWaterFree, and do NOT speak of such things anymore... for our ear are not able to bear them!!)... my Lord sent me here. He said there were some here that hear him (which I found to be true)... and some here that wish to hear him (which I also found to be true). And both are still true... which is why I still visit and post here: it's what I would want someone to do for ME, if they heard and I didn't... or if I did, but wanted to know I wasn't the only one.
(Funny thing: H20 shut down very suddenly after I. There was one or two attempts to keep it running but apparently "something" just wouldn't work and, well, it's gone now. I've always wondered if Rick/Derek decided to go back (to the WTBTS). Anyone know what came of him/H20?)
Peace to you all!

Ironically, my JW mom sent me scrambling to refute some dub doctrine or another a few years ago. I searched the web until I found this site.
Even more ironically, I now don't give a rat's ass about refuting her WT crap any longer. Time for that is long, long past.
