A saving grace of the Watchtower structure is that it is anti-democratic.
Is it only a saving grace for the WT or also for other non-democratic entities, e.g. Iranian theocracy, communist N Corea, highly centralized belief systems... Your arguments are applicable to any of these. I don't think it's a grace when individuals are denied the right to oppose, and that's what makes JWs different from some other large christian organizations. For example, JW hierarchy makes a JW Hans Kung, who would openly challenge GB doctrines, but not df'ed, impossible.
