    voideater,

:Isolated...hmm...yet the WTS seems to know of over 23,000 cases?

Yeah, but like moshe said, the ones in each congregation are isolated from the ones in the next congregation, and so on.

The way I see it,, even if it was an "isolated" case it was still one to many! Your child should never have had to go through that.

Sorry to hear your story. Yes, a boat-load of "isolated" cases. Good job telling them what's the truth.

So its an isolated case? Does that mean that the situation was caused by elders not following JW policy on dealing with child abuse? Or did they follow the instructions exactly as laid out? If the answer is the former, then were the elders disciplined for their mishandling of the situation? If its the latter, then apparently something is wrong with their policy. So which is it? That's what I'd be asking the brain-dead dubs.

By the JW's isolated reply, it shows that one, the GB is doing a good job of hiding child molesters and JW's are very effective at lying to the public in the field work.

"No we don't have a problem. Are you sure the web articles are not confusing us with the Catholics?"

I remember, when a letter came from the society, how to deal with brothers, who abused children.

I thought, man that really happens in gods org ?

I thought, those were isolated cases.....

Normal JW do not know the facts, from where should they get the information ?

The society does not tell anything, only bits and pieces to elders some times..

apostate information is heavily demonized and the internet or media in general has to be mistrusted, anything against JW is propaganda from the world of the devil.

Additionally, please consider, JW view themselves as a close community, a real rotherhood, just like a little village.

To hear something like that happening in a little village, people usually tend to deny it, this was the case for years in many countries, so it is the case with most JW as well.

This is simply to clarify or to understand the reaction of most JW, however, nobody should minmize the damage that has been done to children + their families from "sick" criminals and from the wrong policy of the WTS !!!

thanyou for your kind words all , and i have heard the saying "we can not comment on individual cases "a few times also by local elders (obviously been told to keep quiet by the legal team at london .) a counseller told me i should sue though ,because of the fact had he been reported years earlier , when reprooved , my child would not have been abused as i would never have met the perp at the hall .

This raises a question as to whether all K'Halls have in place a proper child protection policy, with someone appointed as officer.

They now should, but I wonder. Also what do they have in place to track these individuals to warn new Congos they may attend ?

I am so sorry for you and your child, and that you had to talk to a brain dead Dub, trouble is there are 6.5 million of them.

    Lots of love,

    Wobble

ps I think I will start anew topic on Child Protection
