Being the depressing economic state that the entire world is going through it would
not be surprising to see a large number returning to seek some emotional support
down at the Kingdom Hall.
Likewise with other religious dominations.
There is also a sorted blackmail aspect to the JWS regarding interpersonal relationships with family members that
cant be dismissed, which forces people to act indifferent to their own personal integrity regarding religious matters.

So glad to see you, so glad you're here
Come here beside me now, we can clear inhibition away
All inhibitions throw them away
And when we dance like this, like we've never been dancin' before
Oh, they were swingin' down at kingdom hall
Oh, bells were ringin' down at the kingdom hall
A choir was singin' down at the kingdom hall
Hey, liley, liley, liley, hey, liley, liley, low
Do do do do do do, do, do do do do do do
Do do do do do do, do, do do do do do do
Good body music brings you right here
Free flowin' motion now when we're shakin' it out on the floor
Good rockin' music down in your shoes
And when we dance like this, like we've never been dancin' before
Oh, they were swingin' down at kingdom hall
Oh, bells were ringin' down at the kingdom hall
A choir was singin' down at the kingdom hall
Hey, liley, liley, liley, hey, liley, liley, low
Do do do do do do, do, do do do do do do
Do do do do do do, do, do do do do do do
Down at the kingdom hall
They were havin' a party, they were havin' a ball
Bells were ringing out and the choir was singin'
Hey, liley, liley, liley, hey, liley, liley, low
Do do, do do, do do, do do
Sugar was there, did you see sugar
Down at the kingdom hall, sugar was tough -

i just commented today to a friend
i have made A.B. (after b0rg):give the devil his due, one thing i learned
from the cult was how to make cold calls on
people about things that might set them off....(this convo took place this afternoon
after i had spent about 3 hours in the
next town over plastering notices about
upcoming public meetings for an LGBTQ
advocacy group, approaching business
owners and others about allowing the
notices to be displayed on their premises)the thing i noticed is that in doing something i feel
passionate about, there was no dread at all in
engaging these individuals.... on the other hand
in field service, how many times did i PRAY that
no one would come to the door?? ....
jehovah, please let this be a not at home!miss the cult? mebbe, but my aim is improving

What I really miss is preparting 2 meeting parts, 2 shep calls, judical cases, elders meeting, RBC duties, letters to read and file, oh, and the glossy eyed, upset, depressed people.
Yeah, I miss that.

That's not a stupid question!
I got baptised at 15 years old and quit at 18 years old. I had my fun those 3 years I was out and never thought of ever going back.
My cousin invited me to a special talk at a local High School by Leo Greenlees. He talked about the ''end times'' and presented a slide show about the conditions of the world. We all shook his hand like Jesus was walking the earth. I went back to attending the meetings.
Thirty years later,I hate myself for ever going back. I now know that the WTS is just a Real Estate and Book Publishing Corporation. They are nothing but liers and false teachers who abuse their power over every member. They are not God's organisation.
Thank you Simon for this wonderful site. We can all speak our minds without any repercussions.
