Ok, red herring removed. Tell me I am responsible for the children who die due to thier parents adhearing to no blood rules. That is thier choice as I have said. You do not refute that I assume. Am I responsible for thier choice? I do not fear the WT. I do not fear DF'ing. I do not fear shunning. You assume I am. If I choose not to incur the loss of family during this life, of which I believe we have only one go at, so be it. I could give a shit if they shun anyone else. That's their choice. I am not giving my family that choice towards me. I have the non-WT-conforming life I want without DF or DA'ing. They know I want no part of it. It's my life and sorry but I'm enjoying it. I feel no constraints or limitations. No, I do not stand on the corner and call them babykillers or cult members. That's your job. I"m quite satisfied that I am not responsible for your happiness or approval. Good luck Moshe....

My wife and I have a 10 year old daughter that we adopted from Russia in 2003

So why did you adopt a child instead of devoting your life to bring down the Watchtower??

Some decisions are from the heart, are they not? Most people I know would not accept the financial burden of adopting an orphan at such a late age. I will be over 70 years old (I hope) when she graduates from college. In Judaism, adopting an orphan is considered one of the highest mitzvahs (good deeds) a Jew can perform.

FYI, . I am not wanting to destroy the WT religion. I only want to see two things change- the end of their shunning of ex-JW's ( which destroys families) and the end of their evil no-blood dogma, which is based on a false interpretation of Jewish blood laws. .

Legally speaking, for serving as loyal minions (elders) of the WT cult, I feel we do have collective blood guilt for what happened during that time.

My goodness, we have some testy people here. They admit they will will avoid being shunned by JW family at any and all costs, which include lying about their true beliefs, going to meetings they loathe, being subservient to the opinions of JW family (can't rock the boat), avoiding any negative WT Org. comments and no public meeting with known ex-JW's/apostates. Finally, being a virtual mental hostage to the WT cult ( they have your lips taped shut) - well you get the point.

Cut to the chase people, all you have to say is: Moshe, I'm a doormat for my JW family and I'm OK with that. Case closed. No need to go into a long rant about how you can't bear to lose mommy and daddy's approval. But when faders go to great lengths to justify their fading, that does seem odd. Why would anyone need to defend their actions, if they had already decided their decision to fade was the BEST one?

Why kick the actions of a 19 year old man who wanted to see the end of the cold war? We have not seen the Russian commentary on this event, due to the lack of open journalism in Russia and the lack of many first person interviews on the key players in Russia from this time. However, I am pretty sure the Russians do understand the fading concept.

Moshe, your all of nothing viewpoint must have made you a real tool of an elder. I have a feeling you were all party line. That wasn't my way. I don't need to justify to you, I'm just letting people know that there is another way to look at it from your limited and selfrighteous point of view. Nuff said. By the way, momy and daddy are dead.

Who are the “testy” people, Moshe? And are you assuming that I’m a fader who’s scared of the “mommy and daddy” that you scoff at?

Just shows how little you know, Moshe.

Oh, and you adopted a kid instead of putting your money where your mouth is? Oh good for you, I’m sure your Big Sky Daddy is very proud of you.
