Obviously all the objections raised regarding to the premise of the OP are valid, perhaps EoM just doesn't like difficult questions being asked regarding his faith?

Obviously none of you fit what I was referring to. I'm speaking of those who say they hate God, the bloodthirsty, etc, etc, on top of not believing in him. If he is real, he's just a bloodthirsty, etc, etc. My post was just to point out, if you believe if he's real his only a bloodthirsty, etc, etc, that perhaps many of those scriptures could have been apostacy that had been inserted or edited.
Anyway, I did not assume all hate God, and have bad feelings, which is why I said to those "who hate God", not, to all athiests.

EOM I still think you who don't understand atheists. If one says "if God's real" then he's not atheist, he's agnostic. If an atheist talks about God being bloodthirsty etc., they're only talking about God, as they understand the Bible depicts him, not about a real person, but a fiction. They simply don't care that they misunderstood, because they just don't believe in a God be that good or bad.
I think I understand what you're asking, but you shouldn't be asking the atheists. You should be asking WTWizard He's one of the few who belives in God, but think he's evil.

So are you asking that if God's depiction as bloodthirsty in the bible is apostacy or false teachings as a result of demonic shenanigans, and I as a hypothetical god-hating atheist was such only as a result of these misleading scriptural falsehoods, would I feel bad for not liking god?
I think I see what you're saying, but I wonder why god would allow scriptures depicting him as bloodthirsty and vindictive to be kept in his holy scriptures? Why allow people to be deceived as a result of your own book? I wouldn't feel guilty at all.
But since I believe that the god as we know him/her/them is just a human creation, the point is moot. For me.

I feel like starting a thread to rail against a group that doesn't exist.
"Hey Christians who don't believe in Jesus! Get some!"

The title of this thread appears to be an oxymoron.
However having read through the long thread asking why God allows suffering, I can see the sense of the title to this thread.
I see genuine anger and hatred being directed towards God by people who claim to not believe in the existence of a God.
They claim that they are debating in a hypothetical context but to spend so much time and emotion on something they have already reached a conclusion to, is rather amusing.
My guess is that many so called non believers are not totally convinced there is no God. They are still stumbling in the dark looking for a meaning to their lives. Of course these observations also apply to the believers. Who are you really trying to convince that there is a God who loves you?
It is shame that James Thomas has left the room - he could sort all this out; but then he has no need to, which is why he has left the room.

If he is real, he's just a bloodthirsty, etc, etc.
The if suggests that the questioner is pre-supposing that god is real for the purpose of asking the question. It does not neccesarily imply belief or hatred on the part of the person asking the question.
I could ask the question if god is real why does he not answer the prayers of amputees? The implication of the question is not that I believe god is real but discriminates against the physically disabled, what I am suggesting is that god doesn't answer prayers because he doesn't exist.
The god of the old testament is a blood thirsty monster in much the same way that Sauron is a blood thirsty monster, to me a description of their character as described in a book in no way implies belief in either.
