When I lived in the UK I gave blood on a regular basis. I have "special blood" which is good for babies. (I have forgotten the correct terminiolgy but something to do with some antibodies that occurr naturally in my blood)
However due to my living in the UK I can't give blood here in Canada.
Otherwise I would be hooked up once a month!

Canadian blood service will not take any blood donations from anyone who has spent more than 6 months in the UK between 1980 and 1996 due to vCJD.
