Obviously many non-cultists suicide too....but I just wonder when this happens in religions that restrict medical care...

    (anti-depressants="drugs")....sigh...how sad.

I'm not a Marie Osmond fan.

Seems when her son may have needed her most, she was getting busier with her career.

    poor kid,

Actually I can't believe that she would deny him medicine when she is very open about one of her children being gay and loving them very much, even though the Mormon religion does not accept that.

Very sad. I don't care who you are, no mother should have to lose a child like that.

The shoulda coulda's will haunt her forever:(

I heard about this yesterday - so sad. I don't care who you are or how famous you are or what religion you're in, losing a child like this is devastating and I feel terrible for the family. So many people deal with depression and have that horrible sinking feeling of hopelessness, with or without medication. It's just terribly sad when I think of how awful he must have felt to feel like there was no other solution. Heartbreaking.

Mormons are not a religious cult ? I think you need to have an insightful look at the Mormons,

you might want to change that statement. They are actual very cultish just like the JWS.

Woman has a lot of kids and then spends most of her adult life as a busy entertainer.

One of the problems with having too many kids is that you can never develop a close attentive

relationship with just one. That one kid might be the one that really needs it.

The JWS cult of course and it brought a lot of anxiety, anguish and depression.

My mental state improved gradually after leaving.........thankfully
