I truly believe that as well. I always feel the need to do some good. Not because someone is watching, but because it is just right. Even just picking up garbage on our street.
10 years ago, a "friend" spread some hateful (and false)
rumours around that eventually went back to my wife.
The person that spread it had his colon burst, and almost died.
The individual that started it lost his son in a car accident a few years later.
All I wanted was an apology, no harm, or at least a retraction. It's been about 15 years.
Still waiting.

I've had people do and say hurtful things to me, also.
My oldest daughter put me through the wringer!
When that happens, it's as if Someone puts a hand on my shoulders and says, "keep going this way."
I used to shrug off such promptings as coincidences - not anymore.
