    For TV no, that's why VCR's and DVR's were created. But an occassional Baseball game at Dodger. One time we had over 30 miss the Sunday meeting for the big game. PO had no idea what happened, because nobody told.

    It's not the same watching a pre-recorded event even if noone lets slip the result.

    I agree, we taped them and avoided anyone or the radio who might spill the beans. I did see brothers (including elders) go out to their cars to listen to the games during the assemblies..........

    Our District Conventions always seem to fall on World cup and European Cup weeks. Lots of brothers in cars.

    Sort of related.....

    During the Super Bowl, we had an Elder who hated football call during the game to go over congregation business on purpose. Saying it was important and had to be done.
