MsDucky , Sorry for nasty experience in the hospital. Glad you are making progress. I believe you will be fine with good treatment from the right doctor.

jamiebowers , your experience will help MsDucky to compare notices and figure out ways forward.

Hi all, and thanks for your kind thoughts. Scully that is some really interesting information. I do have two sisters that had or have breast cancer (One sister's breast cancer has mestastized; she is receiving chemo again.). I thought that it was odd to have cellulitis of the breast at my age. I'm going to insist, at my follow-up appointment, that he sends me to get a biopsy to rule out Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

I'm still not 100%. The breast is still swollen; but it is not red; just more bigger than the other; and it's still sore.

I'll let you all know what the doctor says after my next appointment.

...You know it's strange that I was scheduled to have a mammogram and bone scan on the day that I went to the ER. I wasn't able to go in that morning because the facility was having computer/electrical problems. I guess that it is good that they called and cancelled my appointment. I hate to think what would of happened if I had kept it. My breast would of, probably, been the size of a basketball!

Ms Ducky, I'm glad to hear you're recovering. Hearing that you had to have Vancomycin is scary, they only use that in serious cases. Do tell the doctor about the family history with your sisters when you have your follow-up appointment. Here's to a full recovery and a clean bill of health!

Hi msducky glad to hear you are on the mend hope things go better for you in the future, hospitals are not the nicest places to be at any time.

I'm off to hospital next week to have my kidney stones blasted apart, have had the precedure performed twice before, so i know what to expect but not looking forward to it.

Wow! I am glad you are on the mend. I hope you go get your mammo and perhaps an MRI mammo. Especially given your family history and now this for you.

    Get well and best wishes!
