No matter what, the brothers could not get the corpse to straighten up.
Curious indeed. Why were "the brothers" struggling to straighten a corpse? I would have thought that would be a job for the undertakers. I'd hate to think this is an urban myth.

This story took place in rural India - and yes, the thought crossed my mind that it might be a 'tale' as opposed to an actual, factual account...
However, in rural India, there aren't many "undertakers"... Hindus practice cremation, if I recall correctly, and so there's little need for undertakers.
However, it does fit the pattern of behavior that one generally sees within Jehovah's Witness congregations... They do tend to neglect people unless they're causing problems - then they're only too happy to show up at your door - with a couple of extra elders...
