  Grace I suspect you are one of the younger or at least more with it gals in the place.

  The rules are there to make sure the old geezers don't choke on their teeth when eating in their rooms and that the older gals don't go running off and get lost somewhere between here and there and can't find their way home cuz they don't know what home is anymore.

  I think the waiting 1/2 hour before meals is dumb because most likely the person next to you doesn't know what you are waiting for and drools it down her chin while some attendant shovels it up and back in again.

  I really hope where you are isn't as bad as that sounds. I worked a very short time in a senior's residence. It was awful and that was one of the better ones. I saw worse.
