Give Reasons Why The "Memorial" Is A Sham To You

Stephen, then you're going to the Memorial?

No, the "Memorial" is a sham as you rightly point out.

There is only two directives against not eating and drinking and that is against gluttons and drunkards 1 Corinthians 11:21 and those who do not "discern the body of the Lord" 1 Corinthians 11:27-29

To take the bread and wine is a command from the Lord for all believers, in the same way baptism is Luke 22:18-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-25

I "proclaim the Lord's Death until He comes" likely once a month or two 1 Corinthians 11:26

Surely as the WT proclaim the Lord returned in 1914 that they should have stopped their "Memorial" back then also?!

    Blessings,

    Stephen

Becuse Jesus didn't instruct us to "keep" doing this. He did this with his 12 chosen Apostles, no one else.

And to qute only John 6:53 only is to take it out of context.

John6:35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

41 At this the Jews began to grumble about him because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven." 42 They said, "Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, 'I came down from heaven'?"

66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him

He had "many" disciples, yet they were not included in this event.

The memorial is based on a twisting of the scriptural account so the GB can create distant between the Cong members and God and to reinforce the idea that other sheep members are neither special nor good enough to partake.

You can look, but you can't touch!

As will all JW nonsense it’s about control not faith.

The Memorial is a Special Day..A Celebration held once a a year..

Jehovah`s Witness`s gather in Kindom Halls around the world..

The WBT$ is Is Mediator between God and Man for Jehovah`s Witness`s,except for a select few..

On that Special Day.. Jehovah`s Witness`s ignore Jesus..

    And..

Show their Allegiance and Loyalty to the WBT$..

By not partaking of the Bread and Wine..

I agree. JC was talking to his 11 or 12. That's it!

Jesus was a white guy - though given enough time I expect that will be edited.

Wow. It is obvious that you didn’t notice the context. In verse 52 Jesus is talking to “them”. The antecedent of “them” is the Jews of the previous verse – NOT His desciples. Verse 59 states that He was teaching in the synagogue, not a private session with the 12. Verses 60 and 61 show the desciples as being upset by what He said. The reason they left in verse 66 was because they did not want to to partake, not that it wasn’t offered to them.

If it is only for the 12, who is the following written to?

1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
