An old job I had, a woman I worked with had some dirt on their forehead. So I pointed it out to her, "hey, you got some dirt or something on your forehead." I was kinda laughing when I said it, cuz I thought it was funny, like how'd you get that much dirt on your forehead. She acted kinda funny around me for the rest of the day. When I got off work later that afternoon, I noticed several other people with dirt on their foreheads too. That's when I first found out about Ash Wednesday. I never did apologize to her, but I was so embarrassed and felt bad afterwards.

I always had trouble figuring out how "the exception PROVES the rule."

Then, one day I was watching an aviation flick at the "proving" grounds and a light went on.

The exception "tests" the rule....is what it means! Yipeeeee.

Also, the phrase "Have your cake and eat it too" seemed implausible until I read it another way: "Eat your cake and still have it".

    > A 'will not' is a piece of excrement that gets entangled in the hair around the anus and 'will not' come off.

Star Trek fans describe that as a klingon.

    S**T hits Fan

Interesting. I've always envisioned it as shit hitting a ceiling fan... subsequently splattering everyone in the room.

So is a 'WILL NOT ' the same thing as a 'dingle-berry' ? never heard of will not .

I didn't know Johnson meant anything other than our last name either ! Until on vacation I showed the kids a BIG JOHNSON t-shirt and said "We should get that for Dad " they rolled their eyes at me and said "look at the picture more carefully MOM ".....oooohhhhhh ....... I am serious I really didn't know any better I just thought it was a brand name for camping gear ,duh .

I was at a party with a bunch of friends when one of the men asked me if I wanted "to go rolling". I thought he meant time to leave as in it is getting late. I said "yes, I need to get home". Apparently the phrase means get high on ecstacy. I was quite embarrassed.
