Google latches onto key words and sends advertising that corresponds. Does that to your gmail, too. I remember once I was discussing the old TV series Starsky and Hutch on my email and advertisements for rabbit hutches kept coming up. LOL

If you're talking about Republicans, ads come up encouraging you to "fight Liberal power mongering" but if you're discussing Democrats, ads come up encouraging you to go to websites that blast Tea Baggers and George W. Bush.

Google has no opinions, it's just there to make $$$$$ by sucking up to you. LOL

Is Luo whoever that is up there on the right thread? I'm thinking maybe someone meant to send a PM. *frowny face of confusion and inappropriateness*

I was not raised a witness so when I first started going to meetings I remember how I felt about some song lyrics like controlling your body members and molested bees I thought what kind of sicko wrote this stuff!

lol... yeah... I *almost* made that same mistake!

Me too. I still remember the first time I saw someone with it on their forehead. I saw a co-worker and got ready to say something, then saw several folks not far behind him with the same thing. Didn't know what was going on until I overheard a conversation in the elevator later that day.

Also, during my first year of college my classmates spent half their time explaining what words and terms meant. They asked if I lived under a rock because there were so many words, terms and jokes I'd never heard before then.

Well if your going to delete my posts ...

Hey Luo.... I was posting on another thread and my post didn't show up so I just reposted it. Was your post actually 'posted'? Unless you feel your post is in violation of the Guidelines, just re-post it.

I think this forum is a bit buggy sometimes when 2 people are posting at exactly the same time. Undercover's post won out over mine!

Hah, this thread is great! I remember the first time I heard someone say "Hey! You cock-smoking sonofamotherfu*kingb!tch! You can't just come onto MY property with your Watchtowers and your funny bible and go into MY barn and 69 MY daughter while shocker-ing my other daughter, Deacon dick...".

And then I guess Jehovah protected me from hearing any more of that foul language, because I don't remember anything else. But LOL, how funny that he'd call me a "Deacon dick", right? I mean, I didn't know what any of that stuff he said was, and he didn't know that we don't call ourselves "deacons".

For anyone wondering about the comment Lou Bou to made: Yes I deleted a post

On page 3 I made this post:

ok this isn't about how crude we can get

The post in question was off-topic and a crude joke which I have heard many times and it was appropriate for this board and went beyond the bounds of this thread

    Is shit a dirty/obscene word?

It's my understanding that this word comes from the days when manure was stored in the holds of English ships and transported to the new world. It posed a hazard when it got wet because of the methane it produced and it would cause explosions when lanterns were lit. So to prevent that possibility the crates were stamped S H I T - meaning, ship high in transit to keep it dry.
