I hated FS. Couldn't avoid it as a youth, i was out every weekend and during summer vacation when i was in school. As an adult, it was easier to dodge. I had friends who hated just as much so we would meet with the group and then go eat or shopping. Since i had to work every other weekend, i could avoid d2d for months on end all the while reporting mickey mouse time.

More recently, i just sleep in.

    Well, lets see................

    1. Pray for rain or a snowstorm

    2. Pretend you are knocking on a door but don't touch it.

    3. Ask them for money outright and ask them if they have some time you would like to argue religion.

    4. Just ask the householder if there was a good coffee shop in the neighborhood.

    5. Make a call on one side of the county and then drive to the other side and then back to the first side.

Oh, there are a lot more but you get the idea.

Towards the end of my JW days, I had a friend who realized about the same time as me that it was all bullshit, but we didn't know what to do about it yet. So we'd pair up for FS, leave from the pre-FS meeting, then go partake of mind-expanding all-natural botanical remedy.

I live in an area where there is a lot of bad weather, although I couldn't avoid it all the time while an MS, I would try to pre-arrange a group with close firends so we could drive around and drink coffee and do RVs. Pathetic, I know. Drinking coffee and praisin the lord!

Peaches, you didn't lie. You used theocratic strategy, defined by the WTS as not telling the truth to people who had no right to know!

Peaches I feel your pain girl.......Willyloman you're absolutely right.

In the time leading up to our exit, we weren't in full time service but I was still an elder's wife so we had to get the national average....And we did. Every month.....lol

The years I was in full-time service I busted my ass in the ministry and after coming up short one year this elder told me to put down 90 every month. Because I was out so much there was no way I wasn't making my time. So that's what I did. Put 90 even if I thought I got 81 hrs. It's all so stupid, isn't it?

I wish I had avoided it like the plague. There was no reason for me to be that zealous because my parents weren't really doing anything. But me and my siblings were pioneers.........good grief.

If I could go back I would kick our asses!

When I pioneered I was serious about it 90's a month. Then I found myself being questioned from Pioneer Sisters saying I couldn't be maintaining my monthly hours (they seemed to be keeping track of my time) I was making my time, but some sisters only counted when they went to a door...no time is counted when you are the one in the car waiting on some to return from the door. Are you serious?? Years later I just quit going D2D. I'm done, it's stupid I said. What??? It's Jah's work...you must Darth. Nope I'm done. No more. About 2 years before I quit everything. And how they tried to change my mind. Don't you want to save people Darth?? I told them the truth.... I could care less about strangers or trying to save people you see my dear Elders it comes down to this I Hate People and don't care if they are destroyed enough is enough. Let the Angels do it or the ..haha haha rocks cry out to the people. I QUIT!
