  Addressing the graduates, F. W. Franz showed why they were not being sent by any ecclesiastical body such as exists in the churches of Christendom. According to the Scriptures, neither Philip nor the apostle Paul, two outstanding evangelizers or missionaries in the first century C.E., received missionary assignments from the apostolic body at Jerusalem. Both men did their work under the direction of the real head of the Christian congregation, Jesus Christ. Paul had, in fact, been directly chosen by Jesus as an apostle to the nations. Later, at the direction of God’s spirit, Paul and his companion Barnabas were sent out from the Antioch congregation. Both men recognized their assignment as having come, not from men, but from Jesus Christ. The missionaries trained at Gilead School can also be confident of Christ’s backing and direction.

  I think they are testing the waters for another major change in doctrine. From here it is not a big leap to disengage the 144,000 from the F&DS. If F&DS = GB what are the going to do with 144K? I'm sure they'll think of something. Incidently this would almost be full circle back to the days of F&DS= C T Russell.

  If the FDS is the one who dispenses spiritual food and only the GB is allowed to do that, then that looks EXACTLY like where they're going, Jeff.

  That is a blatant contradiction of their other statements that they are not inspired and that all the anointed are part of the slave. It is a great article as it clarifies what has always been the reality of the WTS and should help some people see it as the cult it is.

  Jesus said that Holy Spirit is given to everyone that asks--not to only a few who ask. Luke 11:9-13

  The Anointed follow the only Lamb wherever he goes. They do NOT follow the Governing Body--even if that body demands that the other Anointed do so. Rev. 14:4

  The WTS has come to deny to their members what they used to promote to new Bible Students. "What? Your clergyman says only they can understand God's word? That is wicked. Of course you can understand the Bible without going to seminary. There is no clergy/laity distinction among true Christians."

  Didn't they already do this last year? Sounds like this just finishes it off. RF can't handle it all in one big jump, baby steps makes it so much easier to tolerate.

  Yah looks like the holy spirit will reveal they are wrong yet again . I think they are insane to say they are "anointed" but yet not inspired . They even go as far as spirit directed at times , which is the same thing . They seem to get themselves caught up in samantics . The belief that the bible even exists for our day is because the spirit resisted attacks against in . I just recently bailed on them again myself because of people trying to force opinion on me and at times, I believe blaspheme .

  Another point along the line that Truth has a life above the jurisdiction of any Governing Body: Paul had a 14 year ministry which he began without being informed by the "Governing Body"-- the older men and apostles of Jerusalem. Yet when he finally came back and compared notes about his teaching--surprise!--It agreed perfectly with what the regular guyhad been teaching. Truth doesn't have to be filtered through a committee. That is not faith and that is not how Holy Spirit works in a believer.

  Thank you Mad, I didn't realize Ray was the source. Leolaia, I don't know -- they seemed 'shocked and awed' that the below could possibly be true -- they demanded, "Where did you hear that ?! I don't believe it...!" But, maybe a 'good' book, would be a good gift?

  After my JW mom died, the "revealed truth"/newlight changed -- hemoglobin was now (and, too late...) voted in as an acceptable fraction.

  One example: A generation.

  When I joined the cancer, "a generation" was defined as those who were alive in 1914, when the end started. They made minor adjustments to this, to allow anyone who was alive at that point to be included instead of just those discerning it. That was a minor adjustment.

  In 1995, they changed "a generation" to define as those who show the characteristics of the world outside the witlesses. This meant that it could go on forever, since these traits are passed down generations. As such, nothing further needed to be done.

  Yet, in 2008, they changed "a generation" again--this time, to define it as the anointed. Again, removing 1935 as the closing of the anointed allows this to go on forever--all it takes is one anointed person to live from 2009-2129, another to live from 2129-2249, another from 2249-2369, another from 2369-2489, and so on (remember, it only takes one and they can miraculously exceed 120 years of age).

  Then, in yet another change, they just released "a generation" as being the group whose lives intersect with those alive in 1914. Again, there is no minimum limit on how much they have to intersect by, or how old someone born in 1914 could be (again, it can exceed 120 years--it only takes one).

  If this were the truth, such blatant alterations of "a generation" would not be needed.
