What does it take in trees to run the issues of the Watchtower and Awake, 6000 7000 trees.

Think of all of that waste and the man hours to place them and what could have been done to really help people in the communities we all live in.It was just time to change directions and do things that are constructive.

    Broken Promises,

Nice to hear from somebody who was a single sister there. I came to the same conclusion that you did. They simply were not paying my bills or supporting me so I didn't even want to hear WHAT they thought! Their opinion means less than nothing.

These selfish, clueless bastards had wives who cooked and cleaned and did everything for them so how DARE they judge me?? They better not. Anybody that does judge should be punished, in my opinion. They couldn't care less if a single woman drew her next breath.

To add insult to the injury, single women were targeted to do favors because of the misconception that a 'single person had no problems'. Nah, not much. Just the problem of making a living and surviving in the world without the protection of a man and having to do everything ourselves!!

It used to annoy me to hear this because I felt this talk always came from somebody who wasn't really part of the workforce and was clueless.

Exactly. It bothered me the most when I would hear it from a CO. These are people that don't have to work because they have all their expenses taken care of by the congregations, sitting in judgment of people that actually had to work secular jobs, as if their circumstances are in any way similar.

I remember a CO we had back in the 80's who made it his personal mission to convince all the married sisters, with families, no less, to quit their jobs and go into the full-time ministry. He accused sisters who worked full-time to help support their families of not having enough faith in Jehovah's ability to provide for his servants. Needless to say, there were a lot of women in the circuit who disliked him.
