LEAVING WT & FREYDO- Thanks for the updates. Good lord. It appears this oil slick hasn't even NEDDED a hurricane to reach Florida's panhandle coast already. I'll tell you what - if this thing makes the loop around Florida and contaminates the entire East coast in time - you are going to hear HUGE shreiking from the East coast media. I think the full effects and ramifications of this oil spill - have YET to be felt in it's entirety. It's horrible enough what you folks down South are suffering , don't feel alone the entire Atlantic ocean , east states and Europe may join you in time. It's past the point of ridiculousness

OUTLAW- Very true, good point. Migratory birds WON'T be able to fly back to Canada if they come to those southern states infected by oil. This spill may very well throw off hundreds if not thousands of animals & birds migratory habits AND do UNIMAGINED seen AND unseen damage to the ecology and environment that we are not EVEN aware of. AQUAGIRL- How could the JW's have predicted this oil spill ? They had nothing to do with it happening. And it certainly doesn't fulfill the " last days " Bible prophecies. But I'm sure they will try to make it fit - just like an " overlapping generation " theory. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

BP Oil Spill Response Rated Worse than Katrina
By more than a 2-to-1 margin, Americans support the pursuit of criminal charges in the nation's worst oil spill , with increasing numbers calling it a major environmental disaster. Eight in 10 criticize the way BP's handled it – and more people give the federal government's response a negative rating than did the response to Hurricane Katrina.
A month and a half after the spill began, 69 percent in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll rate the federal response negatively. That compares with a 62 negative rating for the response to Katrina two weeks after the August 2005 hurricane.
