I am thinking about living in the wilderness one day. Outlaw, I knew you would visit my thread. Thanks!
What are the pros and cons of living in the Wilderness?

Cons -- you're too far away from infrastructure and therefore any sort of help if you're in a dire emergency. Better have a good backup plan.
Pros -- if you love nature, you're in your element.

How 'wilderness' are you talking about?
1) Are you talking communing with nature for a weekend or month long fishing/hunting/camping trips at a cottage you acquire for retirement
2) Ted Kaczynski roughing it......
3) Lewis and Clark exploration....relying on local natives
4) or wondering the wilderness like John.....eating wild honey and locust---- on public land?
(alone, with a buddy, or dragging some poor girl?)
Pros....... no traffic, diferent pace of life, realizing the simple needs versus wants...... often times no TV, limited if any cell coverage.....awesome stillness and quietness.
Cons......all depends on which of the above you mean.

seriously....been there and done that out of necessity. lived in the wilderness for one month. it was the worst, something i hope i never have to do again. it is no walk in the park. it is scary and awful. please dont joke about or even contemplate it. if you have questions feel free to message me.
