My grandmother practises/used to practise spells, would go to mediums, and believe in witchery-related things. She is an active JW and the elders had been told about that and they said that there is no evidence and the case closed but there were 2-3 witnesses. No JC and no disfellowshipping. Why did this happen?Any similar experiences?

Were the jws "in good standing" so the elders would be likely to believe them? What did they see? No hearsay is allowed.

    Witchcraft?? Did somebody mention witchcraft???

Ah, yes... That old "two witnesses" rule...

Not to drag this thread too far off-topic, but...

I asked someone on YouTube what happened to people who embezzled money from the WTBTS, as opposed to known or suspected pedophiles within the WTBTS' ranks...

    His reply was most interesting...

He stated that, within his circle of acquaintances within the WTBTS, one was caught embezzling, and someone else was caught molesting a child.

Three guesses as to which sinner was reinstated... And which one STILL hasn't been forgiven, even tho it's been some 10 [I think that was the number he mentioned...] years now...

    Hypocrites... Zid

P.S. Now, if only your granny could get caught with her hand in the WTBTS' till...

Look I am going to explain it because you don't know what's going on.In the island of Crete traditional rites and paganism related practices are common. When a woman gives birth to a child and her daughter has a baby too these 2 women mix their milks and then let it dry. Then the waves of the sea must strike the massive milk remains 40 times. When this happens u put it in your partner's food and it is said that he loves you forever after he eats it.I know all these coz of the tradition. So in order to preserve it you have to keep it in the fridge or in a cool place. To make a long story short my mom found it one day.She told the elders and they didn't do shit.

Soooo, your mom (active JW??) found a container in the refrigerator (how was this ceremony carried out before refrigeration? Oh, wait, I know... Kept in caves...) with dried-up, congealed, human breast milk and sea water combined in it???

In order for the spell to be fulfilled properly, your mother would ALSO have to be lactating... Or one of her sisters... And the thought of your grandmother still lactating is somehow extremely disturbing to me... No offense meant, but...

Are you sure it wasn't cottage cheese???

Nooooooooo. She bought it from some relatives.Yes mom is active since 86'.They know how to tell the difference between that and cheeze. The point here is that granny has done a lot of anti christian things and never got kicked out of jws.Elders turn a blind eye when it comes to serious matters. At times she would foretell the future to ppl and give the org mags at the same time!
