"I make no apologies for expressing my opinion on books..."

Leave it to John Doe to mis-state the truth - reality...

The problem was your PROJECTING YOUR OPINION onto ME!!!

"I'm calling your bluff on that one. I suffered through that book one time, hoping it would get better. It never did..." REMEMBER???

In other words, your comment is implying [how typical of the WTBTS' techniques, by the way...] that I am "bluffing" about having read the book - and by the way, I was ONLY 10 when I read it - [and fully comprehended it (!!)] - BY CHOICE!!!

Just because YOU didn't like it , you ASSUMED that I didn't like it either, therefore I must be "BLUFFING" about having read it, comprehended it at the tender age of 10, and having ENJOYED it...

So, as I said before... Projection - or, more accurately, displacement... In the psychological sense...

    NOW do you comprehend??? Zid

I understood it the other three times you said it as well.

Sigh. Reread my last comment. Do I have to spell it out for you?

And you were "only 10 when" you "read it?" I thought you read it several times.

"10" when I FIRST read it... To clarify...

    About your last comment...

Yes, your opinion. But it is based on displacement.

    That's what irritates me.

A bit of background is in order, however... One of the main forms of abuse I suffered at the hands of my parents was based upon their 'displacement' of THEIR attitudes upon me...

And then I was punished for THEIR attitudes....

So 'displacement' [although I still think "projection" is a better term for it...] is extremely irritating to me...

But it happens all the time - and not just to me... It's a VERY common human behavior. One sees quite a bit of it in the "Malleus Maleficarum", as well as in most white supremacist material, amongst other examples...

It's a behavior pattern that's caused a LOT of suffering to humanity, and it's one of my "pet peeves"...

You still haven't grasped what I've said. Keep trying.

To Sylvia, I still haven't told you what I thought. I apologize for getting off topic.

You have a very interesting writing style, to which coco alluded. The descriptive language you use and the tenseness you convey is very intriguing, and leaves us wanting more. You seem to be a natural story teller, and I'd love to see more.

    Tee hee hee.

Upon reading Doe's praise, my jaw dropped to the floor.

    Metaphorically speaking, of course.
