Just like Coffeehouse girl I was counseled about sculpting my body. The text used by my mother was Rev. 19:17, 18 "The angel cried out in a great voice, saying to the birds: “Come here and gather to the Great Supper of The God so that you may eat the flesh of kings – The flesh of military commanders and strong men – the flesh of horses and their riders –the flesh of all freemen and slaves, the little and the great.”
She actually tried to paint a very 'ugly' picture where the birds were ripping off muscle fibers off of my body. Nevertheless, I did train, but not to a big extent. lol.
Now I started training again, after a hiatus of about 4 or so years. Only this time it's mainly bodyweight exercises. I copy a lot of the exercises and lots of tips from these websites: www.bodyrock.tv and www.unique-bodyweight-exercises.com/
Up to now, it has worked out all right, been losing weight, about 3 Kg / 6 pounds in the last 2 months. However the idea is not to lose weight but to get in shape. And that has been working allright. One nice side effect has been that I stopped snoring, which has made my girlfriend quite happy...
Does anybody else do mainly bodyweight exercises?

I've been doing martial arts since 1978, do it every day in one form or another.
Working out is like breathing, it becomes a part of you, it becomes you.
I do ST ( Strength training) 2x a week, to compliment my MA, usually the "fucntional lifts" like squats, Deadlfits, dips, chins, etc.
