But what about the idea that JWs have experienced more growth than these other religions and thus this shows they have God's blessing. Therfore they must be God's organization. This is what type of claims are made in the Proclaimers book as regards other religions or splinter-groups compared to JWs.
Sweety...... numbers can be tweaked.
Do you also believe that many hours are really spent in FS?
We have a good sales pitch for those who are experiencing crisis...... we act like we have all the answers.
Additionally the Pew Report (who the Awake July 2009 quoted no less!) says we have the lowest retention rates!
63% of those born/raised identify themselves 'no longer JW'........and the remaining 37% of us who do stay.....aren't uber-loyal either, they in fact encompass inactive JW who still identify themselve JW, conscious class who attend and a relatively small number who fully believe!
I am of that 37%.......... !!!!!

Awake quote:
** g 2/09 p. 30 Watching the World ***
? According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, “44% of adults have either switched religious affiliation, moved from being unaffiliated with any religion to being affiliated with a particular faith, or dropped any connection to a specific religious tradition altogether.”—U.S.A.
However do you know they didn't print from that same sentence (Yellow not mentioned/green quoted)...... well read for yourself!
More than one-quarter of American adults (28%) have left
the faith in which they were raised in favor of another religion
– or no religion at all. If change in affiliation from one type
of Protestantism to another is included, roughly 44% of
adults have either switched religious affiliation, moved from
being unaffiliated with any religion to being affiliated with
a particular faith, or dropped any connection to a specific
religious tradition altogether.
LOLz did you know that we (JWs) are not considered part of 'protestantism', they are talking switching from 'Lutheran to Methodist or Baptist....... so what possible point is there to reference this statistic? ...
Well simply put it is .......because by removing the Protestant reference it gives encouragement both to R&F and converts that switching to the JWs is quite common, normal even!
