    If this were any corporation that had confidential material leaked on the Internet you would defend their right to 'suppress' it.

    I guess I don't get it. This was an outline of a speech given to the public and free to the public, am I correct?

    The WT is not trying to suppress the information but because it was a copy of an original "document" that is the

    reason for it's being taken down?

    Because someone could have taken notes of the entire speech and posted their notes, they could not take that down, am I correct?

    What comes to mind is all the speeches people given over time and they are recorded, and generously shared and distributed.

    Does the WT want to sell these speeches?

    I am not understanding this at all.

    They got V (or whoever made the video) on a technicality... The copyright doohickie was enough to cause YouTube to pull the video.

    But it has backfired because of the efforts of people like Besty who brought it to the attention of many others. Now people have the video on other sites, people are sharing it.

    And in a few weeks it won't matter anyway because someone will have taped the talk at a convention and then it will be all over the 'net again.

    So why bother to begin with? They would have been better to not complain. They never seem to learn this lesson. Everytime they make at attempt to squelch someone it backfires.

    Slight bit of a difference though. Since the WTS's (supposed) sole purpose in life is to 'preach this good news' before 'the End', then how or even why would they try and get a youtube video yanked that simply analyzes what's coming from the uh "Slave"??

    Corporations do not claim that they are the sole channel between God and mankind and that no one is allowed to question anything they said. Can you imagine if the CEO of BP or AIG or Coca-Cola made such a claim and then whined about "copyright infringement" is exposed for all the world to see?

    The Governing Body members and the cronies who support them must be running scared if they view a frigging youtube video as a threat. Kinda reminds me of what they did to Quotes a few years ago.

    You forget the mandate of the Faithful and Discreet Slave - to dispense spiritual food vomit at the proper time! They alone can discern when that proper time and place is, and which audience is worthy of partaking in this spiritual banquet!

    It also looks bad when the faithful cultists can get the spiritual food from "apostates" before they can from the "slave". They need to preserve their position to maintain control.

    This is the strategy that should be used on information like this that gets out.

    Let the legal dept still think its the 1940's and that their job is to "defend and legally establish the good news." Perfect.

    In the meantime, V's latest video points out something interesting. They went after one source, YouTube. V pointed out what was painfully obvious, that the WTBTS has stuff to hide. The GB is painfully unaware of the power of the internet. If that was their warning shot across the bow, I would suggest they invest in Cialis or Viagra. You know, so they can really shoot....

    As others have noted, it makes a mockery of their claim that they have the truth, even as they try to hide "copyrighted©" outlines. Would Jesus do this? Paul? Not likely, since writings attributed to them have been hijacked by (of all people, drum roll please) the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses.
