    Hey Flipper, everybody

I had another dream (recurring) last night. I was in my car and had to reverse in order to leave the driveway. When trying to put the vehicle in drive to go forward the vehicle keeps moving backwards and no matter how hard I press on the brakes to stop or on the gas to move forward, the vehicle keeps rolling backwards.

Sometimes the dream ends with me in the driver's seat falling off of a cliff. I hear screams. But I am quiet and resigned that I will crash. I always wake up before I hit anything.

    Have at it guys!

edited: I'm thinking it has something to do with moving forward in life?

CULT CLASSIC- Yeah, I think your interpretation is pretty accurate from the sound of it. It's about moving forward in life. Yet you still experience the struggle to move forward which is indicated by the car rolling backwards though.

The part about you going off the cliff and hearing screams yet waking up before you hit and you don't get hurt- to me this indicates you are spreading your wings- becoming less afraid of the unknown - whether that be the future, experiencing life, or whatever - it's a GOOD sign that you don't die in the dream. It means you have hope in exploring the unknown and actually enjoying finding out you can spread those wings ! Just my 2 cents. The screams by the way may be JW's just trying to keep you under fear from moving on in your life ! LOL ! Don't let it scare you ! Life is great and to be very much experienced ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Mr Flipper, I had my chasing/being shot at dream again. Again at my childhood home. I discovered that in my gun are staples and not bullets, so that's why I couldn't do any damage. The guy chasing me was like the dude in "no country for old men" hard/impossible to kill.

SERENITYNOW! - Yeah, wow really interesting ! It can be really scary when you try to fight back and nothing seems to penetrate this old guy. I don't know if i saw the movie " No Country for Old Men ". Who was in that ? But the fact it's a re-occuring dream to me indicates this is an ongoing situation perhaps in your waking life.

In Frederick Perls books ( Psychologist ) " Gestalt Therapy Verbatim " he suggested that many times we keep dreaming about " unfinished situations " which haven't resolved themselves in our waking life. A theory I tend to agree with- as I've experienced it in my dreams as well. So ask yourself : What ongoing or re-occuring situations keep nagging at you in your waking life month after month, or year after year. If you think it over- it may give you a clue what this re-occuring dream is about. Just a thought

Wow you didn't see "No country?" It is very violent. But the bad guy in the movie is this huge guy, he gets shot, badly wounded in a car accident and all but just keeps on going. He shows like no emotion, can not be reasoned with. Tommy Lee Jones was in it as the old man/cop pursuing the crazy guy.

serenity - You have almost everything you need to defend yourself but are lacking a piece of ammo that you desperately need to feel secure and protected? Maybe in real life you're missing that one thing to feel secure? I don't know how good I am at figuring dreams out but just wanted to chime in.

I saw no country for old men. It was really good. And yeah Sugar was really scary!

Thanks flipper! That dream has always bothered me. Your thoughts on it are encouraging. I'll try to be more "attentive" when I have it again and see if I can pinpoint anything significant.

Dreams never bother me, but I had one which I woke up disturbed from. I've had gory, scary ones, this one was not, but woke up quite disturbed.

There was a purple snake, with a diamond shape head, similar to rattlesnake. It was by the feet of some man, but you only saw his legs and feet, because was just looking down at the snake. The snake appeared to be the pet of this person, and it was wrapped around a white mouse. The white mouse seemed to trust the snake, as if they were both pets. The snake had an evil deceptive look though, as if he was pretending to care for the mouse, I glanced away for a second, as soon as nobody was looking, the snake opened it's mouth real wide (it had teeth) and covered the mouse whole and began swallowing it. As it was swallowing the mouse, it cried out like a little girl. When I turned around it was almost fully swallowed and saw it moving alive down the snakes stomach, muffled screams.

EOM, that is a very vivid predator/prey dream. Maybe the man standing is someone who should be protecting the mouse. I couldn't even begin to guess who the players represent in real terms though. Do you think the tone is religious for you? Or just personal?

I had a very interesting dream recently about sexual temptation and I was initially tempted but I realized I was loyal to my boyfriend and felt great that I didn't cheat on him. I don't want to go into any of the racy details, particularly because some themes in the dream are quite personal to me, so I'll just leave it at that. But the dream was a very interesting reflection on my sense of loyalty and morals.

OK I had a strange one last night, my husband and I were as some kind of JW thing like an assembly but it was held on a public street. Well this guy comes up to me and I sort of think I have seen him before. He sits down to talk to us and it turns into a full blown assembly but this guy keeps talking to us and then rolls on his back like our cats do on the ground, I was thinking what in the world are you doing then it turns out that he gets really mad at my husband for advice my husband gave him years before as an elder and he is going to sue us, I was like but your are mentally ill. I know it was a crazy dream but I woke up very stressed out and really glad my husband was deleted as an elder a year and a half ago.
